New chicks- Barred rock chick and Ameracauna?

She looks like my welsummer chickens when they were young. Definitely not a barred rock. They were black and white as chicks with yellow legs. I thought barnevelders were also usually darker than this but I don't have experience with those at all. Just welsummers and barred rocks.

The Welsummer is the very bottom one.. the Barnevelder is the top pic. Sorry it didn’t go in order
I have 2 barnevelders, one is dark and one is light

Well I guess it’s like waiting for Christmas morning to see what she will end up looking like! I’ll keep posting pics as she changes and see what people think. I originally wanted a barred rock for their egg laying abilities, but these breeds seem interesting too.

Unfortunately if it is a barnevelder they lay very late and not very much.

Here she is out in the sunlight. Showing some orangey red around her neck feathers. I’m thinking Welsummer?

That is so odd to me! Typically Welsummer chicks don't have any of the extra facial markings yours had, just eyeliner and a distinct triangle on top of the head. I apologize, it does look to be a Welsummer!! Unusual chick down for one though! Continue to update as she matures!
