New chicks- Barred rock chick and Ameracauna?

No barred rock in sight! Sometimes hatcheries will sell Easter Eggers as “Americaunas” to confuse people.
I’ve also heard that Americaunas are in the $30 range, where EE are around $5. So a commercial seller wouldn‘t leave that kind of profit and sell the former as the latter. If they know they’re Americaunas, they’re going to make that $$!

Americaunas are EEs.... It’s ameracaunas that are expensive layers, some breeders change the spelling to trick people, without technically scamming them. Buncha shady business...there’s shady business even with chickens.

Here she is around 5-6 weeks. Welsummer, right? Definitely pullet?

Here is the suspected Welsummer at 9 weeks. Everyone still thinking that’s her breed?

I want to add, this bird is pretty strange and honestly at this point I'm more guessing which I usually don't like to do. I also wonder if she'll grow out of those markings. @The Moonshiner, could a duckwing bird get that much stippling? I was just reading that e+ chicks must have the clear arrow and lack of it indicates some other genes are coming into play. That is what threw me off at the get-go. Is this bird even wild type?
