New chicks & first egg!

So my wife and I picked up a couple of 6-week old Silver Cuckoo Marans pullets yesterday. Then today at lunch, I checked the nesting box right before taking our kids to a local pool and - SURPRISE! Our first egg!!! Woohoo! I think it came from our black australorp. It was a light brown egg, and the only other two pullets we have that look close to laying are Leghorns. The first of many!
