Hey all! Picked up these 6 pullets tonight in hopes of maybe being Easter Eggers. They came out of the pullet bin.
One of them had severe pasty butt, which I didn't know until we got home. (The fellow didn't let me pick my own this time myself. I had to point them out, so couldn't inspect bottoms)

Thoughts on what they may be?

Overhead of everyone

Here is the one that had Pasty butt so badly. She is eating and drinking really well, and playing with the other chicks. She's not out of the woods yet, but she would have had no chance otherwise. Took us 20 minutes of running her bottom under warm water and working poo loose. Her poor bottom was completely blocked off. After blow drying her and rubbing some oil over her hiney (and trimming some feathers) she took a massive poo and has been acting great since. Poor poor baby.

Hope the little one is OK, lucky she went home with you or she probably would not have made it in the store. Think you got mostly EEs, 2 & 4 look like something else, maybe Brown Leghorns, but lot of breeds are kind of chipmunk looking.

Well, I can say they all look super cute. It's difficult to tell by the pictures if they are Easter Eggers or not. If you look at them closely, the ones that have little puffy cheeks..extra fuzziness on their cheeks that normal chicks don't have, that is an indicator that they are probably Easter Eggers. Other things common to Easter Eggers are pea combs and greenish/dark brown legs. The chipmunk stripey pattern on chicks is also a common EE pattern but, unfortunately many other breeds chicks are chipmunky too. lol.

This was the little girl this morning. She is doing very well!

This lil girl is so freaking adorable. She is doing so well! No sign of pasty butt since the mess she had when we got her home.
I think she will be a very affectionate thing. :) and look at those legs!

Very cute! I am trying my best to stay away from Tractor Supply and my local feed store so I don't come home with more chicks. Unfortunately I have to buy feed in the next week or so. Someone tell me not to buy any more chicks...? lol!

It looks like you got a mix of EE, Welsummer and Brown Leghorns. Those are included in the pullet mix that Mt. Healthy sells and that's where Tractor supply gets them. I think the one on your finger is an EE for sure.

Thanks!! Here's some pics of the new girls from earlier. Most of them have fluffy cheeks!

Reese, as we're calling her for now. These girls will be our pets I do believe! :)

I think I see some EE and Welsummer but like others have mentioned, the chipmunk pattern is common. They're sure cute though!
