Hello Everyone.
We have visited BYC many times and decided today to join. We have Chickens, Ducks, Turkeys, and geese. Even a couple of pheasant chicks. We got 8 Mille Fleur D'uccles about a month ago, 2 rooms & 6 hens. They were laying like crazy and we added them to the bators. Today is day 18, and there was a chick, high and dry, peeping away. 11 other eggs have good pips, and a few already unzipping. Wow. They are tiny lil guys. About the size of BB reds when they hatch. Getting ready to load some Creme Brabanters very soon. LUCKED up and were able to get 18 from a very knowledgeable source. We are excited at the prospect of hatching some of these rare beauties.

Welcome to BYC and good luck with the rest of the hatch!

Wow, you must be a natural at hatching chicks. I am very impressed. Some of the bantam breeds do hatch earlier than 21 days. So you have to keep an eye out for them.

I know we would love to see photos of your babies.

I have uploaded some. I am not sure if they are viewable. A Turkin, a Cochin Batman, and the Mille Fleur D'uccles. We have a total of 8. On day 19, with many more pips. 5 D'uccles so far.
