Hi all

My name is David and I am from WA state.

I will try to use this introduction points offered:

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

Friday will be 2 weeks since I purchase my first chicks, from a local co op in the area

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

25 chicks

(3) What breeds do you have?

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

self sufficiency, kids enjoy it

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

fishing, hunting, board games, collectibles, too many

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I own a remodeling company kitchen & bath

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

I purchased whatever was available at the co-op that morning. I was half an hour early (to the time announced that they will give numbers for the Q) and I was ended up being number 47, so I got what was leftover.

If I was to plan to purchase more chicks with the plan of making some profit by selling colored eggs & hatch chicks what breeds would be recommended?

Easter-Eggers, legbars, among other ”breeds” lay blue eggs. From there, you can play with crossing birds to give green, olive eggs etc. Take a look at these links to help explain:
