Just a quick update on my hatching....4 had hatched out by yesterday morning. 4 more had pipped yesterday afternoon and by last night 2 were zipped almost all the way around, one was making progress and the other still just had a pip. I went to bed fully expecting to have at least 3 hatched this morning...temp was good and so was humidity. I got up this morning (day 22) and the one who was just pipped last night was out and running around while the other 3 were pretty much exactly as they were last night! The one who was almost out last night hadn't zipped anymore and was dead. The other who was almost out hadn't made any progress either and the other's hole was about the same, but they were still peeping, so I went ahead and helped them out. This is one of my mornings to work so I left and when I got off at noon checked on them and they all 3 seem to be doing ok. One has a tiny bit of a rough navel, but not too bad. The two I helped out look terrible because of the gunk that's on them, but they're running around ok. I kick myself that I didn't stay up later last night, but I never dreamed the one I lost wouldn't make it out...he had at the most maybe 1/2 inch left to zip. My humidity was still at almost 70% this morning, so I'm not sure why they were so glued in their shells. Now when I got home from christmas shopping a little while ago there's another one hatching! Those slighty lower temps those couple of days sure slowed them down I guess.

AWWWWWW!!!! How cute, little chicks are so cute. My broody hatched a chick out about a week ago and it is just too cute.
