New chicks with old hens?

My son currently has 5 hens about 2 years old still laying about 28 - 35 eggs per week. He now has 14 chicks that need to be moved. He is out of town so it becomes my problem. Is is possible to put the chicks in with the old hens?

I would say no. wait till they are bigger, full grown would be best and add them at night.
