Picked up two chicks today, an EE and a Buff Orpington! They are about 10 days old so I thought I would start this thread and update with pictures as they grow! The guy i got them from said they are both female so i’m crossing my fingers that they become laying hens!

Though I don't know what else you have, if the "other girls" are full-size, mature birds, I'd wait until they're quite a bit older (larger) to integrate them. I'd hate to hear that the older birds killed the 4-week-olds in the close confines of a coop overnight...
The chicks will be in the coop in their own “little coop”, a see no touch.

I thought I would update! The chicks are now 2 weeks old. They’re eating & drinking fine! They like to lay together and it’s the cutest thing! I have seen a lot of growth in the last couple days and i’m so excited!

Little update! Chicks are now 3 weeks old! I want to put them in the coop with my others but i’m not sure if it’s too cold for them, it’s getting down to mid 60s and 50s at night.
They should be good in 1 more week (need a bit more feathering) as long as you're actively working on weaning them off heat.

They grow so fast! I'm a fan of both breeds, although my Orp is a lot friendlier than my EEs.

I would be hesitant to put them out at that age when it could get into the 50s. Of course, you might not want to listen to me. Fear of her catching a chill as a fall chick is how I ended up with my now-2-year-old house chicken!
