A new color has appeared in Australia ...
It is not an imported bird, ... sanitary restrictions, ... impossible to import peacocks!

It's not an unknown color ...
Probably CAMEO ...?
What do you think ?
There is a pattern ... too!

LOL, that hen is six years old and has produced quite a few offspring.

I do not doubt Robyn's word, she has chicks out of that hen. The owner plans to breed that hen back to the son this year so they can determine if the color is sex-linked.

So this photo is some years old? What else do you know about her? (Or is there already a thread or website with more info?)

I hadn't heard of or seen this before, so now I'm interested in learning more!

I do not know the age of the photo only the age of the original hen, six years old. The person who owns said hen did not know how to breed it to produce more but sold chicks from her to Robyn Riley who now has yearlings and will try breeding them this year. I believe that Robyn is helping advise the first owner on how to breed the hen to make more. Robyn has a FB group in Australia, I will get the name of the group and post it here if you want more info from her. Perhaps she will come join us here, I will ask her.

There is some debate as to whether this color is just cameo re-surfacing or if it is it's own mutation. I think they're waiting on a cock birds appearing to give a I final ruling.
