New Coop and Run

New coop and run setup yesterday for our 6 chicks. They are 5 weeks old and we are moving them into the coop today! It’s moving in day!

Depending on what predators you have you should consider overlaying a 1/2" wire mesh like hardware cloth over the entirety of the run, to keep rodents from getting in and raccoons from reaching in. At the very least, up the bottom few feet as that's where breeches are most likely.

We did put concrete pavers around the run and have started hardware cloth around the coop area. We did have a hawk or turkey vulture circling yesterday. So we figure a covered run will be needed going forward.

I like it.
You might need to add some ventilation. Hard to tell in the pic, but I only see one 4" round ventilation cover in the top left. Rule of thumb is 1 sqft of permanent ventilation per bird.
