New coop pics

Betty,,

That beautiful coop and run is not mine, I just hit the "quote" button so Thunderfeet and everyone else could see what I was responding to. So you can ask Thunderfeet, and I was wondering the very same thing! If they do come out, perhaps marigolds don't appeal to them? I am new to this world,, and my small flock is only 8 weeks old. My pen is bein built as we speak, I have them temporarily in my horses feed room, they grew so fast, and I am so ready to have them in thier own space!

Thanks for the response, and keep those pictures and posts coming, love to read and see other people's chicken worlds!

Ciao!

beautiful coop.i'am jealous.(just kidding)sure wished my hubby would go along with building one like that.getting him to do anything concerning the coop and chickens run is a major undertaking for him.

Oh yes very impressive! I really like the clear roof panels which is something I plan on doing this year before winter sets in to try and catch as much light as possible for my flock. Very nice! Ya'll did an awesome job! Thanks for sharing.

The chickens have a small outside yard behind the coop...I cannot let them free range as we have 7 cats and 18 Siberian Husky sled dogs that would very much like to chase them around. The dogs are in kennels and a dog yard, but if one got loose, they would decimate the flock in about 2 minutes. We pick them grass, weeds etc and I make them a chicken salad a few times a week with lettuce, spinach, seeds, apples and strawberries. The girls are about 24 weeks old and a few of them started laying eggs. The dogs and I have been enjoying the fresh eggs!

Woweeee! That is just awesome! I love the roof panels. It looks so bright and airy in there. Your chickens are very lucky girls!
