And I do not think I will ever get away from a 1x-2x in the top area. But buying those 14/16 pants? WOW!!!!! What a good feeling!

I wish you the best of luck. I too have struggled for so many years. When I was 21 my gall bladder completely stopped functioning so it was removed, afterwards I really packed the weight on. I went from being 115 pounds to 174 pounds in less that 7 months. About 3 years ago I found out I have PCOS and that wasn't helping matters I done Power 90 for 90 days and lost 25 and pounds and 26 inches. Stopped exercising for 3 months because everything got so crazy and I really had no time and gained 10 pounds back and I started Slim in 6 last week and have lost 4 pounds and 3 inches all over. I currently weigh 159 and I'd like to get down to 130. I eat mostly lean proteins, and the leanest hamburger meat I can get. I don't eat fried foods because I still get pains and the sick feeling I got before my gall bladder was removed. I stay away from sweets for the most part. I eat 4 small meals and 1 healthy snack a day.

Down 50 pounds today!!!!!!!

So half way to my goal.

It was funny seeing my folks reaction. The look on my parents faces was worth it.
My oldest sister was there and she did her normal snide remark, but I figured she was just being her normal
snotty self so I just ignored her.
My BIL's face more then made up for it.

I did cheat on Thanksgiving. I took a small salad plate and just planned on the turkey, but I took a small helping of green bean casserole,
stuffing, mashed potatoes, a cresent roll and a small sliver of pumpkin pie. Guessing all total it came out to just under 2 cups.
I ate my green salad at the end of the meal though.
Jumped right back on the diet that night.

No cravings though which is a good thing.

Had a little meltdown tonight.

I packed up all of my good clothes that no longer fit me. It really surprised me that I got so upset. DH came in the room and listened to me ramble on and on.
He was very supportive. Just reminded me to not buy any new clothes til I reach my goal.

So after bagging them all up I have 2 nice outfits left and all of my work clothes.

I ran into my neighbor tonight who did not reconize me at the benefit. The look on his face was priceless.
Surprised several other people who had not seen me in a long time.

Good work

OMG! Congratulations! I hope you don't mind, but could you post some links or some specific info on this diet? I wanna try!

My goal is to lose 60lbs. I don't have a specific time frame as long as it's gone before my wedding in 2013

here is a link to it.

My friend is on the maintance stage and has told me how that works. It sounds pretty good.
You are allowed a carb in the morning and you eat a lunch and dinner like in phase 1 and a protien snack at night.

My dinner is either beef steak or pork chop or fish then 2 cups of vegtables and unlimited salad, I like the green salad mix.
Even had one we call the diet taco. It calls for a leaf of green lettuce topped with some ground beef that has been browned and we top that with home made salsa and roll it up.
I was surprised at how good that was.

For lunch I will do the protein food tomato and basil soup. I will heat some olive oil in a skillet and grate in a clove of garlic. Add about 3 cups of chopped bok coy and heat that til wiltedand I will add the soup and heat it all together. I will add Mrs Dash onion and herb mix.

Hmmm. So I just avoid carbs and sugars, and stock up on the proteins essentially? That website didn't have a ton of info on how to do it.

Herfrds, On Saturday I went to an Ideal Protein seminar and signed up. I got the starter kit but hadn't planned to start until 12/27...too much going on between now an then to start something new. I am very excited about it and your success makes me wonder if I should start sooner. You're an inspiration!!

@ChicknThief, it's more than avoiding carbs and sugars, it's eliminating them completely in Phase I. You do increase the protein by eating their packaged foods that are made with soy. The reason for this is so that your body doesn't lose muscle along with the fat. THe plan is an unbalanced diet that brings your insulin production back in line and bringing balance to your systems. You also take vitamin supplements throughout the day. Most of the clinics that have IP programs hold free seminars that explain why and how it works. People who have health issues like Type II diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, knee and hip problems, etc see a remarkable improvement. The place I went was very low key and presented the information without seeming to pressure the people to sign up. We sampled the food which was really good! Any place that has IP must have a medical staff. Mine has an RN, another I hear of is in a chiropractic office, another in a physician's office. So you always have a medical practitioner available to you.

Congratulations to all of you who have found a way to shed your extra pounds and feel healthier. I look forward to joining you soon!

Marcy
