New Duckling Owner...

The Supervisor is right, live animals are shipped the fastest way possible, and should get delivered first thing in the morning. If they dont arrive tomorrow morning (usually around 7) then there is a problem. I hope you get your babies soon! Its definitly not good for them to be shipped this long.

Me too, it's horrible thinking of them suffering:-( I have my little ICU duckling kit ready to go as soon as they arrive. I have an adapter so that I can run a heating pad in my truck. I'll make sure that they get warm and hydrated as soon as possible.

You sound like quite the responsible duckling owner! I am sure you will do your best to make sure they are safe!

Thanks Finny, All of my life I have had a weakness for the most pitiful animals and have had lots of practice nursing them back to health. Some lived, some didn't but it was never for a lack of effort:-) Because of this I am no longer allowed to go to the animal shelters, pet stores, feed stores etc...unattended

LOL I am not allowed to go to shelters anymore either. Last time I went to a shelter I came back with a cat!

I know exactly what you mean...I came home with a Chihuahua that had terrible seizures. She was set to be euthanized that afternoon. When I adopted her they said she only had a few weeks/months to live. We were able to get her seizures under control and she lived comfortably with us for almost 3 years before she had a stroke and passed. When I went to get my chicks Saturday I was only supposed to get 4, I ended up with 8. It's a pattern with me:-)

I am sorry for your lost though:( I recently lost a dog to a stroke. It was the saddest thing

It is hard, sorry for your loss too:-( It is so easy to get attached to animals. A lot of time I like my animals better than most of the people I have to deal with daily. They don't give you any lip and they're so happy with the simplest stuff like a head scratch or little treat, oh and they're exceptional listeners LOL!

LOL i know what you mean! People make fun of me for how much I love my ducks!
