Admiral Quackbar made it through the night! He seems to be doing well- he’s a little unsteady on his feet but he’s eating and drinking! I’m thinking the few times I saw him eating were the only times he was eating. Poor baby!! I’m getting him on antibiotics today!

Now, here’s the thing. He’s now the smallest of the group because of this issue. What should I be doing to get him healthy and bulk him up? He’s not being picked on so that’s good. But compared to the others who have grown in just 2 days- he seems to still be the same size!

Besides making sure he is getting food and water and not being picked on I would leave him, Isolating him from the other ducklings would do more harm than good. Some poultry vitamins wouldn't hurt either. Are you proving a Niacin supplement for them?

I am not because they’re on Duck specific food- but should I be?

No, If they are formulated duck feed they should be fine.

Providing some extra niacin isn’t usually necessary if feeding duck starter. But good to have on hand just in case one starts showing leg issues weakness etc. a good one To have on hand is Durvet liquid b complex TSC carries it. But a good poultry vitamin will give them a good boost especially little Admiral.
