New Fabrics Today! Pics ~Hand Quilting Complete!! New Pics! ~

You do really lovely work. Look how small and even those stitches are!

Those fabrics you chose look even better up close. That is such a nice quilt.

Thank you. My stitches are not as even as they were 20 years ago, but I didn't have carpal tunnel or super bad eyesight then. Still, they aren't too bad, I guess. I don't like to quilt unless I can meet my own standards, LOL.

Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but I can't believe I found quilt/chicken people...how cool! I only learned how to sew and quilt this year, but I really love it. I am a fabric addict already, and I can't make things fast enough to use up any of my stash.

Speckledhen: Your quilt is beautiful! I signed up for a hand-quilting class in December, and I can't wait to do it.

So glad to have found you all!!

Not a great pic, but this is a quilt I made for my niece with the Flower Fairy fabric.

Speaking of JoAnn's there is a huge Columbus day sale on fabrics this weekend, they have all of their quarters for .99 cents and then all of the other bolts are like 30-40% off. I picked up some gorgeous fabric this evening for my canning jar lid work. Just thought I'd pass it on

Would anyone be interested in making a full size quilt using this pattern? I like it because we share the same name, lol Im a fall/winter color person. It comes from the Dear Jane quilt from 1863. I would like to barter for some or most of the cost. I will include the book of 225 patterns from the 1863 Dear Jane quilt. Very nice book!!

Wow, that is gorgeous! I love the fabric! Awesome!

Wish we had a Joann's within an hour from me, but no such luck.

Braclin, that is a simple pattern and will look completely different with different fabrics. I love easy patterns where the color makes the quilt, just like that one. Unfortunately, I won't be taking on any large projects for a long time. I'd rather make smaller quilts, generally. kathyinmo quilts and has a professional machine--maybe she would do it for you.

Thanks, I havent had a new quilt since my grandmother passed away in 95. I have one of the last ones she did which was a trip around the world. I refuse to use it so it will last. Losing her was like losing a parent she and my mother raised me. I just asked for a full, but i'm sure a twin would do. I'm 6'4 was my reasoning, lol Heres a pic of my Granny's quilt.
