New fuzzy butts coming!!

I was so quick to get angry with McMurray, but realistically, it's not there fault at all!! If I would have gotten a call when my chicks were here, things would have been very different!! My DH went into the post office and had some words with the lady. She said she called as soon as she noticed them there....whatever!!! So now i'm down to 6...lost 2 overnight. How depressing...I feel for all of you going through the same thing and i'm so sorry.

I am not made withe hatchery it was the weather, just sad They were beautifull chicks. It made me feel a tiny bit better when they apolagized for me having to have such a bad experience.

We'll be calling the post office for sure to complain. They waited until our regular delivery at noon instead of calling when they opened. I assumed they'd bring the babies out in a van when we called and found out they were out for delivery. Did not expect the open, cold mail jeep. So far we have 6 that look good, one that is probably going to die, and 19 expired. Just waiting and trying to take the best care of them possible before we call McMurray with a count.

I would call McMurray now and let them know. If I were you, if they send you more chicks, call your airport and pick them up from there...if possible. If not possible then I would most certainly contact the post office and complain!! People just think that these are only chickens but to us they are much more than that!! Hang in there!!!

I don't live in a small area without animals, either. They came to a decent sized shipping center that would get birds at least here and there. It's a rural/residential area and a lot people have chickens and other farm animals. The post workers even sounded excited about them. I just wish they didn't hand me a box of dead/dying birds.

I'll have my husband call both today. I'm a little nauseous about it all still.

I would definantly call the post office. If you guys received your chickens monday then that means they sat in the postal distribution center all day and night sunday, when they should have called to see if you wanted to pick up, just because mail doesn't get delivered sundays does not mean they stop processing and sorting. I was lucky that our distribution center called first thing sunday morning.....you should most certainly give the usps an earful about how irrisponsible they were...and if the give you any excuses as them to print out the scan of what time they received it in the building

Same with me, on everything you said! I'm afraid when I get home more will have died and I only have 6...nauseous to say the least.

I hope you dont lose anymore. Only one of mine is still alive chipping It is so sad. When I leave the room I put on the radio real low so it hears some thing and it stops her from chipping so much. I check on it and talk to it constantly. I even named it Hope I hope she makes it.
