Yeah, not all strains are equal I get it. I am saying on average the reason Americans are better survivors is because they are lighter built.
 
Americans in part have better feathering. Many solid American lines are also less likely to be inbreed when compared to oriental that were imported in small numbers.

Still do not rule out nutrition or a health issue.
 
This dude here is 6 or 7 mo old.
I wish I could get a better pic his coloring is real nice. Combs tell alot too

Can't wait till Jan or Feb when it's cooler to trim. Got 2 grey stags that need trimming too

Oh nah they'll be black. I never really worried about color. If they don't that's cool too. They're all crossed with something. 2 of his sisters looked just like redquill as chicks. Someone down the line infused redquill. Which I think would make a great cross. Add speed to the kelso Thump.
I had some pucs of the throwbacks but can't find it guess I deleted it
