Yea he’s already 5lbs I think he’ll be in the 6-7lbs range when he’s matures. I need to get him an oriental pullet of some sort for a more oriental like build.

Well it is a cozy -1 right now. The Asian fowl are not appreciating it, although he is still crowing. The Americans are sitting on their feet more but apart from that refuse to show weakness.

I was just chatting with my 90 mother and we started talking chickens and she told me that when she was young she would help my Grandad sell his gamefowl and she would write up ads for the birds and she said some were roundheads. I thought that was interesting she could remember that far back. Must’ve been in the 50s.

The old roundheads were some lethal birds. Most roundheads nowadays are average. She probably was talking about the real ones.

Not the ones down here. They're holding thier own quite well

Roundheads were made by adding asil to American gamefowl. Of course they were better.

OK, not all modern day roundheads are average. You have some fine birds.

Greetings, gamefowl lovers! It's been some months since I posted about my five not-so-ferocious gamefowl (I think) roosters. Everyone is still getting along beautifully, which I know is highly abnormal...so...I am questioning whether I have pure gamefowl or mixes. Here is Buddy, my favorite of the group. Any thoughts on his breeding from experienced gamefowl owners/breeders will be much appreciated. Regardless of what I have, I am a very happy camper. Thank you!

Here are some of Buddy's "brothers" from the same source. Their combs are pretty wonky and I think they have more of an oriental look, though I'm certainly no expert. As mentioned before, I'm not exactly sure what I have here, so any thoughts on their breeding are much appreciated. Thanks!
