I love byc a lot it should invent its own app. Either way I'll use the site and the calendar in my kitchen for egg tracking. Just gave my an idea to put one in the coop

Alrighty, I've been using this now for just a couple days shy of a month and have collected my thoughts. Other folks here have made excellent suggestions, some which I'll reiterate and some I probably didn't think of.


**Beating a dead horse here but it's worth being said again.. More breeds under manage flock and chicken breed guides! (Especially manage flock!!)
**Not necessary, but it might be nice to be able to upload multiple pictures of a certain "entry" (create a mini-album for that bird--heck, even just 2 pics--rather than just 1).
**Other poultry types should be added to manage flock!! (ducks, geese, turkeys, guineas..) I have as many ducks as I do chickens and would love someplace like this to keep track of their details, too. With the name of the app, I assume this was a feature they planned to incorporate sometime..?
**I used the egg tracker for a clutch of eggs I set a couple weeks ago. Unless I'm doing something wrong, there doesn't seem to be much to this feature after the first day. Jot down the number, size and weight of biggest and smallest only (which I couldn't do anyways as I don't have a scale), and that's about it. It'd be nice to be able to keep track of each egg (update size, weight, air cell changes..notes..remove eggs tossed out..). And keep track of "the day" rather than just show you what day you set them. Also reminders to candle on candling days (7,14,18). I haven't even touched the egg tracker since I set them. It's nice to know what day I set them incase I forget, but it'd be awesome to have it more interactive and helpful..
**Bugs need squashed!! When I enter or update some entries and go back in later, it will be gone. This is highly frustrating. Just one example of many, one of my favorite feather-babies passed away and I wrote down in her notes on the app the date she passed. Noticed some number of days later that update was gone and I have no idea when she passed now.
Another bug..crashing. The app crashes after being on it so long. Not nearly as frustrating as the erasing, but still needs squashed.

The egg tracker is actually to keep track of the eggs your flocked has laid.
It is not for tracking incubation.

Hm. I'll suggest incubation "egg tracking" as a possible feature then.. I'm sure it would get a lot of use seeing the number of hatch-addicted folks around here. I sure could use something more organized than a notebook for tracking.

I was able to eventually get the app. but when using the app. it repeatedly shut down on me. This is very frustrating!
