ll tell ya Tammie, my Serama program is not going anywhere fast thats for sure! LOL...they lay the eggs and have such a bad time hatching or quitting, I am questioning if they are worth the aggravation! I really like the breed, but there are other nice small chickens out there and I really am liking these modern games! They remind me of litttle men on stilts! But boy are they LOUD!!! and the ones I have are very picky eaters too. I have tried everything. My button quail I think are all boys even the ones with the cream color bibs...still no eggs and I know they are old enought to lay now. Oh well, such is life in the chicken world!

I'm fond of the Old English too but I'll tell you- you like small chickens with sweet temperments- Nankins fit the bill. They are small and quite tame and don't tend to venture far from thier coop. Of OE though, my buff OE cockerel is the sweetest boy! Follows me around the house clucking and making cute chicken noises, falls asleep in my lap

I can't hardly keep up with the button quail requests! I've stopped sending eggs due to the cold and just about the same with the juveniles. Last ones are going south Monday. I got a ton of girls last hatching so if you want some red breasted and cinnamon hens I'll trade you back for the three you gave to me. I'm still waiting on two silvers for you if you still want them

Yes Tammie, i am still imterested in the silver button hens or other different color. I won some eggs on ebay like a nut, and have them in the bator now...did I mention I was a nut? Oh well, ther are 53 of them, so maybe some will hatch, I also have about 20 serama and a few mod game in there too. I have a nice small pair of seramas I am selling because I allready have enough of their coloring. Also a nice conformation roo but he is a class C/D and I like them smaller. Otherwise he is a beautiful specimen.
i have had the OEGB's and the Dutch. The dutch are small and mellow, I agree, just hard to find now. i am still waiting for the little OE/EE I got from Shay to start laying, she is smaller than the serama hen I have her in with now and a pretty steel blue color. I am curious to see what I get from her. She lays blue eggs according to Shay so I will be able to tell her eggs from the seramas!

Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone has a POL cochin, silkie and frizzle? I had a dog attack this wonderful morning and need to replace my poor chickens. Looking for SQ..can anyone help me out?

all the chick catalogs are showing up i cant stand it!!! be strong be strong be strong, i want i want i want.. i just cant , but but but

My Ideal catalog came today. I keep having to remind myself the baby pen is full, I can start hatching soon too!

Oh Boy! I hate this Hovabator. i never had the fluxuations in temps with my LG that I have with this thing! This morning I went and checked to turn the eggs and the darn thing was reading 106.2 on both thermometers! Hard boiled eggs anyone? Last time I had 6 serama eggs in and it spiked to 105.0 but they still hatched all on their own I might add (4 of them)...Oh well, I will see what happens this time, another week and a half to go. I am thinking of plugging in the LG and transfering all 70+ eggs into that.
ETA 53 of those a button quail and hardly take up any room.
