Not all roos are trouble. I love mine. The girls like them too!

Oh yeah, if you want marans so you can sell hatching eggs skip the hatchery birds. Find some good breeder birds.

Here are my hatchery maran and welsummer eggs.

I have a new batch of WAY too many eggs going in the bator on Saturday, too...BC Marans, Wellies and olive eggers, and a few pure cochins.

If you have a good hatch on those Marans and have a few extra, I would LOVE them! I'd be darn tempted to keep a roo if he was a nice Marans.

The maran eggs came from Onthespot here on BYC. some of them are really dark. We'll see what I end up hatrching

HI, Val!

Nice to see you around.

I know what you mean about having chicks in your living area! We did that last spring, and as cute as they are, i couldn't wait to get them out of our office and playroom and into the coop! Lucky you have a garage.

I'm slightly jealous! LOL Our house is a trailer with an addition built on, so it has neither basement nor garage. I still have a cage in our playroom, with our Seramas, and they actually don't make as much mess as other of our chicks have made----could be due at least partly to the way i designed the cage to help limit the mess. I still want to make a chicken tractor for the Seramas so i can put them outside this summer---i don't want to put them with my big girls in the coop.

LOL! glad to know we're not the only ones...Our livingroom(End of the trailer) had become a incubation/brooding room, ontop of already being the "dove room/pigeon hand rearing room). Our TV comshows are interrupted with peeps and coo's

Here are the address for the agways

Hi Greg, nice job on the list! Now if the dates would hurry and get here! I am soooo sick of cold and wet and white! LOL
Just one question??? Are dodges Agway and Osborns Agway the same place??? That is how I am reading it, but I thought Dodges is in Salem or is that another Feed place? I am confused, but then again, it don't take much! hahaha

Did anyone with bators running loose paower??? I have eggs due to hatch next week and lost power and when I got up the thermometer read 66 degrees! Oh no...I feel so bad. I had my daughter pick up the bator and take it to her house so I will be curious to candle the eggs in another day or so to see if anything survived! I have had spikes in temp before with successful hatches, but never a 30 degree drop! ARGHHHH!
