Just wanted to let you know that 6 Silver Laced Cochins have hatched out of 13 that went into lockdown. I also see atleast 3 more pips. I am so hoping that the ones from the frizzled hen hatch but no pips in them yet.

Yay for your hatch! I will cross my fingers for you on the frizzled ones! I think I am all set for chicks now after the six I picked up from you, they are all adorable, but thank you for letting me know about the new ones.

thats awesome, the cochins have feathered legs right? do they have problems with dirty leg feathers?

I guess on the white or light colored ones but only when it rains and gets muddy. I love my cochins for being so docile. They love to be picked up and they also like to talk when you talk to them. They are my favorite breed.

The ones you sold me are already little sweethearts. They come running over to my hand whenever I reach down in the brooder.

This is one of the chicks I got from nhnanna. We named him (or her, no idea really) Gandalf. He has decided I'm his momma. He cries and cries and cries in the brooder box, but if you pick him up and let him perch on your hand, he goes to sleep. It's beyond cute.

He is one that was hatched under mama thats probably why. I had just taken them away from the mama's that day. She or he is going to be one pretty bird for sure.
