New Hampshire!

Those are just a couple of my girls. They get better every year. Just about ready to start showing..... Oh the anxiety

Do you raise Silver Laced Cochin by chance?

Got my NPIP re-test done and had a nice discussion about this form. There was an earlier conversation about a more in-depth test on here and that is apparently what they are supposed to be doing and are contemplating going ahead with in the future. They may do it as a separate stand-alone visit this summer and this is the form they have to use. They will be looking for separation of various fowl into their own areas - duck, turkeys, chickens etc., also your brooding areas will be a point of interest and your bio-security. Just thought I'd post a copy of the form.

who here is hatching eggs for others in New Hampshire?

we are in Wolfeboro & the sportsman is almost empty

anyone care to share about how they hatch for others?

what is a fair price to charge people....... $1 an egg?

thanks
patrick

I had to post this as I find it laughable
I received a PM today from another member on BYC personally banning me from future membership in their newly formed secret, private, select-few Ayam Cemani Breeders Group/Club.

.... I mean ... 1) I don't recall ever asking to join and 2) I could just start my own chicken club right...

. Good Grief. Thank goodness I have a life I love and enjoy and can take my goings on here as what they are....light-hearted, sometimes educational fun with folks that are as chicken crazy as I am, despite the power trips of others.

I was going to post another egg photo since I have a third Marans laying but felt I was going over board and needed to stop before I got to posting all 7 as they came online. But one of the eggs is HUGE! Gotta be a double yolker. I'm resisting temptation.

Piglett - why not charge per so many - like $5 for up to 6 $10 for up to 12 etc. Would folks need to pick up right away? What if you had to brood for a bit what do folks do then? I've not done this so it'll be interesting to know what others do in this situation?
I'm glad I don't have a Sportsman.... while I wish I did, I would find myself in terrible trouble all too soon. My 2 Hova-bators get a good work out as it is. I'd love to add a third.

Take Care fellow New Hampshireites.

If doing this keep in mind that MG/MS have vertical transmission.
