New Hampshire!

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for the best places on the New Hampshire Seacoast, Lakes Region or Concord Area to purchase pullet chicks? I got mine from Tractor Supply last year, but wanted to go the breeder route this year. Looking for Silkies, Frizzles, Lavender Orpington's, any colored cochins or Black Laced Wyandotte's. I am also interested in some Duckings. I just don't want to purchase online and have to deal with a straight run or a minimum order of 25 chicks.
Thanks in advance for the info!

We are here in Massachusetts and just got ducklings from Metzer Farms and are very happy. They do small orders without huge fees and ship them with heating pad and grow-gel included. We got 6 of them (you can get as few as 2) and they are healthy and growing beautifully. Here is some detail from their website: http://www.metzerfarms.com/MinimumOrders.cfm?CustID=10163566

We are now able to ship fewer than these quantities for ducklings and goslings. We have done some experimenting and have learned we can ship smaller quantities of waterfowl than before. By sealing the majority of holes on the outside of the box, putting insulation on the floor and using a special heat pack, as few as two ducklings or goslings can be shipped anywhere in the US. This new minimum only applies to ducklings and goslings.

The Small Order Charge is $15 and includes the special 60 hour heat pack, the insulation and box sealing for 6 to 9 birds.
The Extra Small Order Charge is $32 and applies to orders of 2 to 5 birds.

We feel this is an excellent way to meet the needs of those that can only raise a couple birds.

Normally we try to include a free bird with most orders. With orders that require the Minimum Order Charge, we do not include extra birds as we understand you are ordering this few as you do not have room for more.

ALL ORDERS NOW INCLUDE GROGEL AT NO CHARGE.

Thank you for the info! :) I was looking at Murray McMurry and their minimums were just too high, and they are not able to deliver until June! That was a little too late for me, I can't wait that long, not enough patience. :)

Hi OldAnimal I'm in Shelburne just past the T & C and the one on the NH and VT border where abouts are you? I''ll probably spell it wrong but I want some ameracuna's. The ones that lay the colored eggs not the eggers, olive eggers, araucanas and not the bantams. So if you know of anyone or if your ordering and their on your list I'll gladly get the money right to you! So email me cuz I don't always go to all the sites but I do go to my mail!! Thanks

I'm going to be hatching out some more Americannas ( Easter eggers). I'm in Northwood. They would be straight run as I don't know how to sex them.

Great! Give me a shout when you are all hatched and I will let you know where we stand. We did get3 week old 2 silkies and 2 English Buff Orps, but I am still thinking of at least 6 more for this season.

I have some hatching this weekend and I'm going to start another batch of just EE! Some in there now are an EE buff orphangton cross.

I have had no luck with TSC & Murray McMurray so again I'm asking if anyone is ordering or hatching some Ameraucana's I'd love to get some! I'm in the northern part of NH hoping to find someone to help each other on this!
