What have you got over there?

I just changed my signature line to reflect our current crop of animals. What do you think of your GLWs? I justs ordered a bunch of them coming in a couple weeks.

McMurray did a brilliant job on our GLWs! of course, a couple with not great lacing, but over all they are awesome! Friendly enough, good layers, and just great birds. Wasn't sure what exactly you wanted to know about them, so I tried to cover all points lol. heres a pic of a couple!

I think her face is hilarious

That's actually all the GLW we have. As you can see, beautiful birds.. I actually can't remember having one with truly bad lacing. Where are you getting yours?

Maybe you could consider coming to the Walpole NH swap at Tractor Supply coming up next weekend 7/10

It would be a little less than an hour from you I think. If you check the Chicken swaps of NH thread there is a lot of info on there.

Happy to know you are so close to me if I ever decide to start with Orps. The blue in your avitar picture is just awesome!

Sorry on the delay.... ordered 22 pullet and 4 roo GLW from Meyer Hatchery out of OH.

We also ordered 25 white broilers and 6 pekin ducks.... dead ducks arrived. :0( I don't blame Meyer though. We had a wicked freak heat blast followed by cool. Of the 27 Broilers that arrived 3 died. One was the smallest chick I've ever seen and I think two may have eaten styrofoam that was next to their brooder box. Meyer refunded the ducks and the chicks that died so I am satisfied with that. The GLW are ALL doing amazing and are the freakin cutest sweetest chicks I've ever picked up... Barely a peep from them and very calm about the whole thing. They are super active and alert, so im not concerned by the calm demeanor. Can't wait to see them get big!

Yours are gorgeous by the way! I will post pics when they get bigger!

Glad to find this thread of NH chicken keepers. We're new to chickens this year, just got 4 this spring: A Black Star (supposed to be Barred Rock), Silver Laced Wyandotte, Buff Orpington & Easter Egger. They're almost 4 months now and growing fast. They're so much fun to watch.
