PIglet.... I use Firefox.. click on reply or quote button on the bottom right hand corner of the message you wish to respond to. The reply window will open... now look for the :) face icon... 5 icons over is the insert picture icon... click that. You will have to up load pictures from there.... I can't remember if we have a quick reply on this site or not but that one probably doesn't load pictures.

We'll fix you up lol
we have been fermenting our frrd now for about a month
the coop smells much better & we are saving because we are buying less feed
you should try a batch Renie
some people claim up to a 40% savings on their feed
i can't pinpoint the exact # because we are growing out so many extra birds at the moment.

Yeah, I was doing it and there was a savings but I've changed a while back because come winter w/ the snow we get, I can't see myself lugging a pail around from coop to coop. It's a lot easier on me to just fill their feed and be done w/ it for a while. Plus I didn't like the fly's that hung around it. These little mingy fly's. I could cover the mash pail but I couldn't cover their bowl. That's just my opinion on it.

we are up to 5 coops at the moment :)
1 for now is the woodshed which is where we have about 30 buff orpington cockerels
we are putting the meat bird feed to them, once the grass is all gone they will head to camp
we will still have about 30 or so adult birds so we may still try to keep fermenting
my wife uses a dolly to bring the bucket to each coop
i also get vegtables from work which they love
in the winter we will cook them up a big pot of onions & green peppers on the wood stove.
those are the only 2 things that i have found that they will not eat raw.

Here's Sonic, just over twelve weeks old hatched from a beautiful olive green egg. His egg was laid by a silkie Ameraucana cross hen covered by a Japanese Bantam rooster. Looking for his forever home (free). Also have a black bantam cockeral available. Message me if interested. I live in New Boston, NH
