really, there is no heating of the vinegar ? i assumed it was like making pickles where you heat up the vinegar? do you have to sterilize the jars like when you pickle or can? if not then I am making some asap! sounds delicious!
I thought the same thing at first, too. I'm used to canning vegetables, where you sterilize the jars and lids and have to heat process everything once it's in the jar. But every pickled egg recipe I've read just does them refrigerator style, like chickery-do said. Peel a bunch of hard boiled eggs, throw 'em in a jar with your favorite spices, fill to the top with vinegar and stick 'em in the fridge. Best to eat them within a few weeks, but they taste better if you let them sit for at least a few days. Yum! I found a few links a while back for lots of diferent ways to use up extra eggs, I can post them if you like, the one on pickled eggs was here:

I also really liked making tea eggs:

i have a black BBS hen that has always been the runt of the flock
i bet she would be a good match to one of those young brown boys
would i then breed their offspring back to the rest of my Orps.?
how does all that kind of thing work?
i just want to get some extra DNA so they don't get inbreed.

my wife is making a batch of salty eggs
you put eggs into a container
then add saltwater & leave them there for atleast 3 week
now boil just like you would to make hard boiled eggs
i had never heard of salty eggs but where she is from in the Philippines that is a normal thing.
i think she will try selling a few dozen this winter through her facebook group.
