are they on heat in their brooder?

they may need some heat, its only supposed to be 40* near me, if you are near them you should be able to tell if they get chilled

I shut their heat light off inside yesterday. I'm in Nashua so it is still cold. Maybe I'll give them another week?

or move them in and out
and def shut the light off at night, try to only turn it on if you know its going to be under 40*
they are tougher than we think
i have some quail that are about 7 weeks old and they have been in my barn for weeks and off light for at least a couple weeks, though i have had to turn it on a couple nights to keep the water from freezing lol

Hello everyone! My four year old daughter and I are searching for a pair of swedish blue ducklings in NH. I really dont want to mail order for jsut a pair. We're looking for a mid June hatching and would like at least one to be a female. We're looking for them to be pets but also eggs as i am allergic to store bought eggs. We live in central NH but are willing to travel. Thanks so much and nice to me you all! Noelle and Emma

I am in Chichester. I have bantams and large fowl. I just hatched out 5 barnyard mixes. Can't wait to see what they will look like as the rooster is a partridge silkie and the hens r large fowl. I have barred rocks. Rir. Barnvelders. Golden laced wyandottes and a white Cochin. So it should be interesting. I will be getting my 3 silver and 3 gold spangled appenzeller spitzhauben next week. Plus my meaties. I am trying to find a new home for my silkie rooster as I have decided I don't want to hatch any more mixes. I want to concentrate in the spangles. He is a year old.
