I am not sure if you have fisher there or not. If you do this will be interesting for you, and make you want to sturdy up your coops...

This happened about 15 miles from me at my cousins. She lost all her chickens to this thing about a week later.

It was a little too easy for that fisher to get up to the coop windows. Hardware cloth is great, but seeing that would make me want to put something of heavier gauge over it...I'm just assuming hardware cloth on those windows FWIW.

I haven't tried fermenting the feed yet, but I do mix in Kiefer in with their feed or kitchen scrapes sometimes. I also have kombucha scobies I'm going to give them, but haven't yet. Kiefer is fermented milk, and kombucha is fermented tea, the scoby is the culture that ferments it.
I've been on a GT's kombucha kick lately. I've been wanting to make my own, but haven't had time to dive into it yet and get a SCOBY and recipe. I've tried the Brookford farm kefir and it was OK. I don't tolerate dairy that well though...even if it's raw, full fat, or fermented. Anyone know where to get raw A2/A2 milk around here?

Yea, I was amazed at how easy it was up there too. I am rethinking all my coops and pens after my recent attack and seeing that video...

I know he built a new coop and run, I have not been there to see the new one yet.

Yes we have fisher here
I once had a large male pull a ten lb turkey through a 6" gap in a pig crate the turkey was spending the night locked in
Females are 7-9lbs males 9-18 lbs with 10-14 being average

We had 4 rounds of that yesterday. Heat, cold, wind. Took down some trees, dropped a couple 8 inch round 20 ft long branches on one of my covered runs....That is not good for the netting, incase you are wondering..

it was nearly 90, then dropped to the 50's then back to 88 and back to 60.. Every drop was a storm. Not a fun day..

I might have to move there yet! You should know NH, Vermont and Maine our on my bucket list. I have never been there but I want to go to them. I don't care about southern NE too many people for me from what I understand.
You'll love northern New England.. The southern parts have beautiful areas, but the cities in such a small geographical area are to condensed with people for sure. Coastal areas are a mix of both, but the scenery is gorgeous all the way from RI to Northern Maine.
