Hello fellow New Hampshire-ites! I need your assistance!

I was wondering as livestock owners/farmers, what Agricultural laws are especially a pain for you…I am writing a paper for class about Ag laws that might seem doable on paper but in reality are a nuisance for New Hampshire’s farmers and I wanted some first hand opinions on it.

Any suggestions or insight you could give me would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

I have reached out to some local farmers via email as well but i am afraid they may not all get back to me by the deadline.

I'm a backyard chicken keeper, so this doesn't really apply to me. I will go on and on about my town's laws if given half a chance, but to be honest, I don't know much about the state laws (that's probably bad...I should go read them).

You could try hanging out at your local farmer's exchange/farmer's market and ask questions. I meet lots of knowledgeable farmers there from surrounding towns.

I am to the west in VT, can’t speak to NH laws. Here we have “the vermont league of cities and towns” they are a terrific resource for laws and particulars. Perhaps NH has something similar?

Did you all see the news about the Avian Flu in Derry? They took all her turkeys/ducks/chickens.
She had a pond that wild ducks came to and so her flock also got it
If you have a pond near you that your flock has access too please watch them
