New here and first time hatching!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! My eggs are getting delivered today. The incubator is on getting temperature tested today. Hopefully tomorrow I can put the eggs in after they sit and come to room temperature. I will probably wait 12 hours to put them in. Or can I put them in sooner?

Wait atleast 18-24 hours before setting. They need to come to room temperature and all the air bubbles to float to the top of the eggs to reform the air cell. So store them large end up on the counter, have your incubator warming up 24 hours before setting eggs. Good luck! :)

Hi I’m new to BYC and so happy I found this forum! This will be my first time hatching chicks. Got my incubator set up. Now just waiting for my Silkie eggs to get delivered in the mail. One question, once I receive the eggs, should I let them sit at room temperature for a while before putting them in the incubator? And if so for how long?:thumbsup
