New Here! I rescued 3 hens in January after all the fires. We have one Plymouth Barred Rock, One Rhode Island Red and one Australorp (I believe).

Thank you, I just looked up Satin Silkie (funny I haven't seen that in my searches, or just didn't understand the difference). I looked it up and I think you're right. My husband just told me I could get two more, I will know what to look for ;) Looks like my flock is growing! :love

A breeder who doesn't respond twice is rather strange to me.

Silkies will have five feathered toes, are usually vaulted (big poof on head), might have beards, are fuzzy, and stay fuzzy. That one growing feathers is indeed a satin silky versus a regular silkie.

This is one a few weeks old I just took, still fuzzy, vaulted, has a beard and five feathered toes.
