Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Very new, had put little loves for 2 weeks. Two gold laced barnevelders and two Plymouth rocks ( possible x with australorp ) They are from 2 different breeders but all roughly 13/14 weeks.

How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I’ve been looking for somewhere to get support to make sure I’m doing everything right to grow healthy happy chooks.

What are some of your other hobbies?
I’m a work at home mum so not much times for hobbies but chooks are one I’m hoping to love.

Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
1 hubby, 4 kids, 1 cat, one dog, 1 hermit crab, 2 turtles and 4 chooks. May as well be a zoo

:welcome Glad you joined us. You'll find those little balls of feather are the best stress relief ever. You have your hands full with your family, lucky you get to work from your home. Enjoy looking around and your newly acquired chooks. :jumpy

Thank you ❤️ Yes very lucky we own our own business so I don’t have to go on site until all my kids are at school.

:welcome:celebrate

Glad you're here !

A must have for your poultry is a FIRST AID KIT for any issues that would arise. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/suggestions-for-a-first-aid-kit.1150128/)
It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...-there-and-cut-more-holes-in-your-coop.47774/) Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it!

One last thing, if you're into gardening, feel free to join this years SEED SWAP (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/seed-swap.1220129/)
