New here

Here's a quick updated picture of my choosing. They all seem to be female I think. And I picked up 9 silkies today. Hopefully most are female, but either way I'm excited to find out how many of each I have on my hands.

Silkie chicks

It's possible they're are some mixed ones in there (the gentleman only had one rooster, a silkie, but his chickens are free range), but they all have 5 toes and they all have either completely black skin or mostly black skin and they're combs are really non existent at this point. Only time will tell.

Okay so I might be a crazy chicken person now! So I ended up picking up the 9 silkie (mixes most likey) chicks a couple days ago... well today our farm supply place called (I had inquired about silkies about a month ago and they said they'd call) and said they got their silkies in... I wanted a blue silkie so I went in to get one (since they're 5 days younger than the batch I just picked up) and ended up bringing home 2 blue silkies, 2 lace wing windonettes (spelling?) And 2 lace wing polishes. Hubby isn't amused at this point... as it puts us at 21 chickens and he'll have to expand the coop we built... but I'm so excited for them to grow into bigger romping egg laying chickens!
