From my 2 pairs of zebra finches I now have a lot more, only a few months later - so much so I had to buy them a new home.


They seem to be liking it.
 
I hope not!!!! I did not take out the nest baskets as they like to 'play' making nest and going in and out of them.

I started with a 24 inch cage with 4 zebra finch and 2 gouldain finch. They all bred in that cage - I was surprised - I got 8 gouldians and many more zebra finch babies. I did not really want them to breed - I just left them to it - and got a nice surprise when the chicks appeared out of the nests.

I am at max capacity now - so any more young ones will be sold.

man I learn a lot now from this thread lol I never thought gouldians and zebra s breed in one cage
