I wonder what caliber those zombie loads are. It irritates me to no end that Hornady doesn't make Mosin-Nagant ammo.

They'd better have it in .40 S&W, 'cause I don't want to be caught unprepared in a zombie invasion!

Okay, random question - I found an SKS at a gun show today for $350. It appeared to be one of the Chinese ones that accepts AK-47 magazines. Any thoughts on those? I almost bought it, but decided to do more research.

solid platform to start from, but IMO not as solid as a Kalashnikov

After further research, I think I agree - I'm also relatively familiar with the Kalashnikov platform, not so much with the SKS platform. Plus, that thing was a PITA to load.

Q9, did you get the mosin nagant?

I mentioned before that I had a SKS and I kind of miss it but I wouldn't pay 350.00 for one today.
I'm going to be saving some of my egg money and pick up a M1 garand for 495.00 from the CMP.

BTW, with SKS prices, $350 is a good price, especially for one that takes AK mags. I blame Obama.
