The minimums given here are usually 4 sq ft per bird in the coop and 10 sq ft per bird in the run. If you make the run that size, don't count on any plant surviving in it, including grass. Bigger is always better.
Australorps are docile and friendly, and lay very large brown eggs. Easter Eggers vary. Some people say they are friendly and some not. I have 6 who attack everyone else and won't let me near them.
