Trust me on this one . . . it doesn't get any easier when you're 57!! When I turned 40, my folks sent me a birthday card saying that my warranty had expired. At the time, I thought it was a joke.

I just saw this post---well, I'm old and I'm slow.
I'm not going to go back over all the pages but it
seems to deal with a bad-boy point system.

When I "earn" these points, will I be notified by a PM from \\
the boss? There I might maybe see it. Anywhere else, pretty
iffy. I'm too busy stalking my friends to check on my own name.

My reward? The only award I need is the privilage of being allowed
to be a part of this great site on a daily basis. I appreciate the Gold
Membership someone gifted me and the BYC Friend badge.

Let us honor this site, our moderators, and most of all let us honor
each honor in our words and our actions here. We may not always
agree with each other. But that does not mean we should not respect
another members position on a subject.

I have no doubt that in time, I may say or do something to earn these
points. And when I do, I will have earned them. The moderators will not
give them away...we have to earn our points.

Should Em recieve a special award, befitting her position here? Sure....
something like..."Oldest living member"...or "Bestest Brownie Maker". I
favor giving her the stalker of the month award. Anyone know of other
catagories we can nominate her for?

I think the Peer Recognition Awards cover most all the "good" member contributions. As most everyone's interaction is with their peers, shouldn't that be where the recognition comes from?

You are both right and I don't need good rewards personally.

I was taught however, the new behavior learning methods, that there should always be positive re-enforcement as well.
