Whew! I just checked my Profile, and I can sleep easy tonight. Oh wait - I haven't logged off yet!

I'm sorry this has to be done - I'm sure it's going to be a lot of extra work for Staff. But Thank You for doing it!!

And I think any offenders that are responsible for getting a thread shut down should get Double Demerits . . . no, wait - make that Triple Demerits!! And then Quarantined for 30 days!

I think the idea is that this should be LESS work for them. I imagine it's hard keeping track of "repeat offenders", etc., and they probably (I'm sure) get various complaints about certain people. So this way they can keep a general tally. It *should* make it easier, once they tweak it and get adjusted.

Does anyone else feel like they just arrived in hogwarts? it maybe the meds, but I got the mential image of teri lacy, deducting 10 points from griffendor (and giggled till tears came).

I don't see an infraction or a rule against deceptive and dishonest comments in the BST feedback system.
Threads are moderated, but I don't believe feedback is.
Because BYC has gotten so large there are recently more and more scammers doing business in the BST section. They send multiple demanding and threatening PM's and leave hateful feedback.

So I am wondering, how are the scamming members like this going to be punished?

Well, first off, we really try to make sure none of our systems are "punishment" based. We like to think of them as "helpful information and training on our rules and policies."

We don't have a rule for everything and there are many warnings that can and would be given that aren't on the list. Our moderators can create and customize warnings to whatever they need for a given situation.

If a member violates our rules regarding the BSA section, including feedback, they will receive warnings and possibly even be prohibited from participating in BSA and maybe even banned from the forum.
