In order of "level of okness"

1) Just ignore
2) PM the person and kindly exchange ideas
3) There really isn't a number three... it just seemed weird to only have two items in a list.

While we aren't nearly as strict about what happens via PM, we don't want to get reports of members harassing or stalking others via PM.

Several ways. Use the user list button at the top, use the report button in any post (the next available mod handles a report,) PM from a mod or admin profile in a post, click on the name of whoever is on line on the index page, I'm guessing are the most common ways. We discuss issues that are not simple, cut and dried ones, anyway.

If the reason someone wants to contact a second moderator is because the member didn't care for what the first moderator told him/her about a particular situation, just know that most every situation is discussed in Staff and all members are usually aware of current issues. We aren't "Lone Rangers", in other words, even if we don't always agree 100% about every situation. We still work as a team.

Thank you so much. Everyone does such a great job. This is a great place and very little drama. Thank goodness. I learn new stuff everyday.

I am trying to follow the posted guidelines.

If you feel the infraction/warning was unfair then please contact a moderator; don’t start a public thread as it will be locked/ removed and result in even more infraction points.

Are you telling me that there is no appeal process?

You can always contact a moderator, of course. And that is what we always want in lieu of starting a public thread about a private situation. As far as an "appeal process", there is no actual process, per se, but further discussion is fine. My meaning was that infractions, or their reversal, are decided as a team. One moderator does not go over another moderator's head.
