No way! What street in L.B.? My ex's family were all over Division, and I have a good friend on Westwood. My daughter was born at Monmouth Medical. We spent a lot of time going down JO-line to 7 Pres.

I live on Lenox Ave West End Section. Its a one block street running parallel between Hollywood and Cedar. When I sell extra chickens people think that they have the wrong place because it's not rural. My house is for sale and I want to either stay in Long Branch or go to Middletown because they are the only places around that allow chickens without acreage requirements. We can't have roosters - how about you? Any limit on hens? What part of Middletown? How are your neighbors with it?

In my attempt to find out more for the Chicken L.O.R.E, I was phone tagged by the zoning officer who said that there are no regulations on chickens in Middletown. (Even though the message I left him asked where can the info be found online).

I have a banty rooster right now, because even though we're on a decent amount of property, I think my neighbors might lynch me if I got a big one, the way they crow all the time. I live in the Oak Hill section now, off of Bamm Hollow Rd. I used to live in River Plaza, (great area, check it out),but only had the hens there. My neighbors didn't even know I had them, but I was pretty conscious of keeping the coop and run clean. Good luck with your move!

Hello to all my Jersey neighbors!!! Jersey girl born & raised.

I'm 15 minutes from the beach in Ocean County. Live with mom on 1/2 acre with 2 amazing little hens. My hen, Sookie, is a mutt who I've been told looks like a Silkie & Araucana mix & had her since she was 2 days old. Then we have a Silkie hen, Pippie, who makes me laugh every day with the quirky, funny sounds she makes. Love every minute of it & can't wait to get more one day when I have my own place. I'm addicted to these adorable, loving little creatures!!!

Only one more? I can't wait for the day when I can have a hundred more! Spend some time reading the posts - tons to learn here - and plan on coming up to Sussex for the Poultry Show on May 15th!
