New Jersey

Bayville is south of Toms River. You have any pics of your girls? If nobody bites on the trio or you decide to sell just one, I would definitely be interested! :)
Finally got a decent pic of one of the pullets....the other is raising some chicks at the moment..

OMG, your rooster is magnificent. These birds really look like they are from another world. You sure you want to part with them?!

Thank you. They sure are pretty, I agree. But be forewarned, this breed goes broody a lot. They rival my silkies. He is a good boy, never been aggressive to anyone. And he keeps a good eye out for all his ladies.

I lol every time I see this! Like a pimp, lol. My mind is warped, but that just cracks me up... :)

Hello From Morris County NJ!

After much research and checking my town's code we decided to raise chicks. We got four Rhode Island Reds that were two day old on 6/9/17.

We stumbled upon Backyardchickens.com when we had many questions from caring for chicks to creating the coop.

These are our only pets! We have two daughters, 11 and 16 who help care for them. They have named them, Wednesday , Summer, Robin and Margarita.

It's been very rewarding and glad to have access to so much information on this site! Nice to meet you!

Chickens are AWESOME! Welcome Rainie, from South/Central Jersey. :)

I am just starting to raise chickens in "South" Jersey. I wasn't born here, so despite being here for 16 years I am still getting used to the idea that the center of the state is called South Jersey :). We are near Philly though and starting work on a coop to get chickens in the spring.
