My hens haven't all been laying at the same time... ever. It seems when one would start, one would stop, etc. This sight made me very happy. Never have I seen all five of my hens' eggs at once. Yes, each is a different color! Oprington: Brown, Polish: White, Silkie: Pink, EE 1: Blue, EE 2: Green.

YAY!!! I got my email from Jersey Chickens today that I can pick up our chicks on the 24th..wooohooo

It was. That blue layer's eggs also have tiny white specks on them.

It is super hard! But I am filling my time with building the run for them, getting the vegetable garden ready, and planning my son's 2nd birthday parties ( large family)
SOO I hope the time passes quickly!!

When I went to hawkers on Sat. and someone left a hooded rat in a box on the bleachers. I really need to find him a home. Any takers? He is super friendly!!!

I used to have two rats. I can't have indoor pets anymore though. ): I have a friend with rats, and I'm in 4-H, so I'll ask around for you.
