I tried nail polish but it didn't dry fast enough and the other hens pecked at their feet guess it looked tasty

I felt that way about the thermometer. Yes, too bad your a little far. Today I noticed the last rail on my egg turner is broken. Snapped at the point where it joins the turning part. It was pre-assembled so I hope when I call Monday they will send a replacement.I ordered a water wiggler on amazon for a dollar or two - I just didn't have the time to go hunting for one and I have Prime so I get free shipping. Two days later a box came...they sent a whole case of water wigglers!!! I think 18 of them. Too bad I'm so far away, I have plenty to share!![]()
I use the smaller zip-ties for mine. Just keep a close eye when you put them on the chicks - they grow much faster than you expect. I let them go for too long once and they were almost too tight to get them off. There's no marker of nail polish that will last on either their nails or feathers.Does anyone have any ideas on how to tell your girls apart? I can tell when all 3 of my RIRs are together and pretty much when I see them one on one. But my kids get confused. I looked at the leg bands but the ones I saw you needed to put on as chicks or need to buy 100...I need 3any other suggestions??![]()
