Are you looking to travel to rehome them? I have a lady that might be able to take them if you’re willing to pay $20. She took my three roosters to a big big farm and then people go to the farm that are looking for older chickens/roosters
Does she have a website? Most people who have a rooster they need to rehome ask for a fee as a good faith gesture to be assured they aren’t giving their bird to someone who is planning on eating a free chicken. Most rooster rescues don’t ask for a fee since they run on donations. I don’t mean to sound negative. I just know if anyone is going to make dinner of them it will be me. I’d prefer they be rehomed to someone that needs an elusive good rooster. I’d like to know a bit more about the lady’s situation. If she doesn’t find a home for a bird what happens then?

When i gave mine to her, i asked if they would be used for meat and she said absolutely not. One of my roosters went to a lady with a child and the two others went to someone else that wanted friends for their hens. She doesn’t have a website but i have her number. You can also look at Funny Farm Rescue in mays landing, they might rehome them too!

I’m not sure I can deliver too far. Where is her place?

There is also The Chicken Refuge in Whitehouse Station - but I don't know if they have capacity to take unwanted roos - I know animal control take backyard flocks there from people who start a flock and are not allowed to keep chickens.

Hey NJ! I’m in Great Meadows in Warren County.
One of my hens hatched 9 eggs on June 6. Five of them are cockerels. Their father is a gentleman with the ladies and is not human aggressive which is why I allowed him to procreate. Chances are excellent these non aggressive genes were passed to his boys. Of course there’s never a guarantee but chances are pretty darn good.

So! Who wants one of my big beautiful boys?View attachment 2833864View attachment 2833865View attachment 2833866View attachment 2833867View attachment 2833868

I am doing the happy dance!!! All 5 of my cockerels went to a new home today!! This lady loves roosters and rescues I them. She is also part of an animal sanctuary. View attachment 2858638:wee:celebrate:woot
