Well I agree with everyone else, Thank you, you did right, grab your mug, get in them scrubs and you go girl.
My 21 year old daughter just became a CNA. She is one tough nut and will hold her own anywhere. She even has a 2 1/2 inch high tatoo across her chest from one collar bone to another that says "I will Survive" Looks like a big smile. I cried forever for that one LOL.
Back to point. I was never so proud as when I read what her clinical teacher had to say about her. She said she had never taught anyone who had so much respect for the elders they were caring for. That she was the best at bathing because she would come in with a smile and a hi, start the bath while she was chatting away and before the honored elder in her care new it they were dressed and bathed and with no embarassment for either of them.
She was hired within 2 days of her last day of clinicals. She had her choice of facilities to work at. She chose the one that she had to drive 45 min to get to. I asked why, Mom don't ya know that is the place that treat their honored elders as nothing less than a family member. That is where I want to be, where these special people become my Grandma's and Grandpa's.
I am pretty proud of the little imp. I will tell ya that when I had my shoulder surgery she came along and helped me (could of did it myself but what the hey right). She was so proud to be taking care of me and even said aren't ya glad I got educated in this Mom so I can help you without hurting you. What a nut.
Thank you ever so much for putting our honored elders first.
