Hi! I have three young girls (19 weeks?) learning to lay and one is pretty consistent and even hits the nest!

The other two started laying about two weeks ago and layed about 5 eggs each: some soft roost-eggs, some mid-yard, etc. but they have stopped laying entirely now (it's been about a week). They don't seem to be broody or unhealthy; they free range most afternoons/evenings (I've been on the egg hunt- none).

Is it time to panic?

I'll bet they have a secret spot.
Don't panic- just keep them in the coop for a whole day and see what happens.

They've hidden their nests. Chickens are great for hiding nests, and it can be a fun game to find them.

Is that what you call those shell-less eggs?

That's what I call the ones the chickens laid over the roost (and consequently broke). When I clean them, they seem to have a soft shell.

I think your sneaky chickens might be hiding their goods.

I have looked everywhere, I mean everywhere. (I think). and today, they were in all day and not an egg appeared. Is there any way they stopped alying inorder to grow older?
