New member and kinda overwhelmwd

Also welcome and beautiful birds.
What climate are you in? Birds could be molting if its getting warmer or colder.
They like dust bath and can use sand I've heard but do your own research on that. They look creepy like they are dying in dust bath.

Ameuricana are also normally skittish so lowers them on pecking order.
Thank you. Yours are also beautiful! I’m in Texas so definitely warming up. Do they scratch at themselves when they’re molting? I put a container of DE for a dust bath, but they didn’t touch it. Guess I will need to put some sand in.
Yes, they are at the bottom - #3 and 4.

Welcome to BYC!! Hang around here long enough and you will be a chicken pro!
Thanks for joining our flock!
Hello and welcome to BYC a place where many poultry lovers come together and make one big family.

If you ever have a question just ask anyone on here will be happy to help you and if you know the answer to someones question go ahead and answer. Thats the great thing about byc you can ask and answer.

One more thing before you ask a question if you want to see if its already answered before search it here https://www.backyardchickens.com/search/

Have a wonderful day!
:frow Welcome from New Orleans, can you add on to your prefab coop or your run? Might help. Good luck
i added a run. It helps and at least allows me to separate Red when she just won’t leave Lucy alone. I may have to reconsider free ranging. These pics give a better idea of the run size. In the third one, Lucy is sitting on the door because it’s the only place Red can’t get to her.
