I do not have any chickens yet. I really wanted to learn before my first arrival. I will be looking at all areas of the site. Seems like there is a wonderful amount of information here to get me started.

I don't know yet what breed. I am looking for friendly chickens, but that also lay a decent amount of eggs. The looks of the chickens don't matter to me. I'm thinking of maybe 4-5 to start out with. Any suggestions as to breeds would be great. Thanks
